HumasUPNVJ – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) for the first time held a Level-1 Government Procurement of Goods/Services (PBJP) certification test. This exam took place at the Computer Based Test (CBT) Lab, MERCe Building, Limo Campus, and was attended by 40 participants from various work units within UPNVJ (28/02).
This certification test is the culmination of the series of PBJP Level-1 Education and Training (Diklat) which has been running since 12 to 27 February 2025. The training was facilitated directly by the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP) as part of efforts to improve the competence of human resources (HR) in the field of procurement of goods and services.
The Importance of PBJP Certification at UPNVJ
In the implementation of this certification test, the Head of the Procurement of Goods and Services Sub-Division (Kasubag PBJ) UPNVJ, Asep Pahrudin, S.Kom, was also present and explained the reasons for holding the PBJP training and certification exam on campus. According to him, this initiative emerged because UPNVJ had never previously held PBJP training, while the need for competent human resources in this field continues to increase.
"We at UPNVJ do not have many human resources who have competence in procurement of goods and services. Therefore, we took the initiative to hold this training and certification exam to improve the competence of procurement actors," explained Asep.
In addition, Asep also highlighted cost efficiency as one of the main factors in organizing training at UPNVJ. Compared to sending participants to other certification institutions, organizing on-campus is considered more efficient and effective.
Participant Enthusiasm and Future Hopes
The high interest of participants is proof that PBJP certification is very much needed. With a maximum quota of 40 participants per class, there are still many enthusiasts who cannot be accommodated. Therefore, Asep hopes that in the future UPNVJ can open this training for participants from outside the campus, so that it not only improves internal competence but also has the potential to provide income for the institution.
The PBJP Level-1 certificate obtained by participants is valid for life. However, for those who want to improve their competence further, they can take the PBJP Level-2 and Level-3 certification. In addition, for Commitment Making Officers (PPK), there are special certification paths such as type C and type A which are tiered.
By holding the PBJP Level-1 certification test, UPNVJ shows its commitment to improving the quality of human resources in the field of procurement of goods and services, while also opening opportunities for further competency development for employees and lecturers on campus.
