HumasUPNVJ – The ranks of university rectors throughout Indonesia have met and conveyed their aspirations that efficiency should not hinder the quality of education. In line with this call, the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) held an audience regarding budget allocation and efficiency at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium UPNVJ on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
Attended by university leaders and student representatives, this audience was held to ensure transparency and understand budget optimization policies.
Vice Chancellor for Planning, Finance and General Affairs of UPNVJ, Prof. Netty Herawati, said that UPNVJ's policy is to distribute the budget as wisely as possible so that it can continue to run quality education with a limited budget.
This year's budget efficiency policy follows the direction of national policy which aims to optimize the use of funds to improve academic quality and campus facilities. "We are committed to using the budget wisely so that all academics get maximum benefits, and of course can continue to run quality education," he said.
In the audience, the university explained the details of the budget allocation, including the main priorities for improving learning facilities, developing research, and student welfare. Several budget items experienced efficiency without reducing the quality of educational services, such as optimizing the use of digitalization in campus administration and cutting less effective operational costs.
Student representatives also provided questions and input regarding transparency in the use of funds and the urgency of current budget cuts.
This hearing is an important step in building more open communication between the campus and students, ensuring that every budget policy truly continues to support UPNVJ's sustainable progress.
