Wednesday, October 14 2014 which took place at the Gd. Gen. Sudirman Lt. 4 the Rector Merit List event was held, namely the Award for outstanding students in both the Academic and Non-Academic fields. The event which is routinely held every year begins at 09.00 WIB and is attended by the Chancellor, Ka. BPH, Warek, Deans, UPNVJ students, parents/guardians of students and other invited guests.
The event, which has been held five times, was opened by singing the National Anthem Indonesia Raya and Mars Bela Negara. This event also featured entertainment from the Dance Arts UKM which presented a dance from Betawi "Kinang Laras" as well as from the Gita Adyavatya Choir UKM who sang the songs they would perform at the National Championship at Brawijaya University, Malang, East Java
On this occasion, Karo Kermawa expressed his gratitude to the invitees who took the time to attend the Chancellor's Award ceremony for students with academic and non-academic achievements. The purpose of this event is as a form of appreciation from the leadership to students who have succeeded in achieving academic and non-academic achievements. The aim is to motivate students to carry out curricular and extracurricular activities as a vehicle for synergizing student hard skills and soft skills. The number of students who received the award today was 101 people consisting of 63 students with academic achievements and 38 non-academic students.
In his remarks, the Chancellor said that this event was a form of institutional appreciation for the achievements that had been achieved by UPNVJ students in the fields of science, reasoning and the development of interests and talents. By giving this award, it is hoped that students will be more motivated to improve academic and non-academic achievements, become role models for other students in learning, organizing, being creative, achieving, behaving and working. The challenge going forward is how to make UPNVJ a professional and educative PTN, which can play a real role and make a big contribution to the nation and state. Through this event it is hoped that students will continue to uphold the values of fighting, moral and ethical values, discipline and creativity as well as fostering a sense of love for the motherland.
