Improving the Intellectuals of the Young Generation with the 2017 Veteran Law Festival Law Debate Competition

On Monday, November 6 2017, Law Faculty students held the 2017 Veteran Law Festival Law Debate Competition which was attended by high school level students throughout Jabodetabek. This activity was held in the Auditorium of the Rectorate building Lt. 4 UPN "Veteran" Jakarta and lasts until November 7 2017.
The event was opened with remarks from Dandy Rasyid, a UPN "Veteran" Jakarta student as the chief executive, besides that remarks were also delivered by Dr.Ir. Halim Mahfudh, M.Sc as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Cooperation at UPN "Veteran" Jakarta. In his remarks he said that this activity was a very good activity, because with this activity it would deepen knowledge, competence and add skills in organizing an educational event, he said this activity could be useful for UPN "Veteran" Jakarta students when going directly to the wider community , he hopes that this activity will continue for the next generations.
On this occasion, Dr. Suherman, SH, LLM as the deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, he had the opportunity to provide a delegation for participants in the 2017 Veteran Law Festival Debate. The participants or students who were selected in the Debate this time were from 5 high schools in Jabodetabek, namely SMAN 34 Jakarta, SMAN 3 Depok, SMAN 79 Jakarta, SMA Yayasan Cakra Buana Depok City, and SMA Negri 2 Tangerang Kota. Each high school sends 2 students as a Debate Team. This competition consists of preliminary rounds, semi-finals which will be held in different locations.
Dandi Rasyid as the Chief Executive said that this activity was aimed at advancing the good name of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, increasing the accreditation of the UPNVJ Faculty of Law and increasing the intellectuals of the Faculty of Law students themselves.
This activity received full support from the entire academic community of the Faculty of Law UPN "Veteran" Jakarta.
