HumasUPNVJ - In commemoration of the 91st Youth Pledge Day in 2019, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta held a flag ceremony on Monday 28 October 2019 which was attended by 922 students, 484 education staff and 263 educators within the UPNVJ environment. The flag ceremony was held at the Ceremony Field in front of Gd. Dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo UPNVJ Faculty.

During the ceremony this time, the Deputy Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance, Drs. Prasetyo Hadi acted as the Ceremony Supervisor. In his remarks, he delivered a speech delivered by the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, "The 91st Youth Pledge Day takes the theme "United We Go Forward". . That only with unity can we realize the ideals of the nation ". he said

In his speech, the Menpora also said that the rapid development of information technology is like two sides of a knife. On the one hand it guarantees the speed of information so that it allows our youth to increase their knowledge capacity in developing competitive resources, but on the other hand this development has a negative impact, destructive information ranging from pornography, drugs, promiscuity, to radicalism. and terrorism also enters easily if youth cannot stem it with a filter of knowledge and positive character in the nation and state. He also gave a message to the current generation of youth to be able to fight, come up with creative ideas to give the best for the Indonesian people.
