Meanwhile, according to the Chairman of the Committee, Asep Kamaluddin, "The impact of globalization is the change in the role of higher education institutions, from traditional educational institutions to creators of science and technology (Science and Technology), from random planners to strategic, from an approach that was originally comparative to an approach that competitive. In connection with the new paradigm in higher education, the development of student assistance needs to be one of the concerns of various parties, especially the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs to become a very decisive foundation for determining which direction this nation will be taken to face the accelerated progress of science and technology and life in the era of globalization which requires the ability and competitiveness to be able to demonstrate its existence among other countries and nations in the world”.
