HumasUPNVJ - Based on an assignment by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), GIZ has been working in Indonesia since 1975 and since then has had an office in Jakarta. Other task givers include the German Federal Ministry of Environment, the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union. Currently, 255 national workers, 32 foreign workers, 4 Integrated Experts at local institutions and 8 Development Experts work in Indonesia (as of 31 December 2018). GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) visited UPN Veteran Jakarta to discuss the cooperation to be carried out. This visit was attended by the Chancellor, Deputy Chancellors and Deputy Deans for Student Affairs and Social Sciences Cooperation UPNVJ and representatives from GIZ. This meeting did not involve many people because currently it is still in the social distancing period and following government directives so as not to gather with many people during the Covid - 19 pandemic, this meeting was held in the Nusantara Meeting Room 1 UPNVJ, Wednesday 10 June 2020.
Representatives from GIZ explained that this collaboration would later make it easier to find lecturers from Germany and so that the Diaspora could help development in Indonesia.
