Permata Sakti Program, UPNVJ Accepts 53 Online UNDANA and UPR Students

HumasUPNVJ - The Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) has issued a policy on the Independent Campus for all universities in Indonesia. One of the programs is the Indonesian Archipelago Student Exchange Credit Transfer System with Information Technology (Permata-Sakti) 2020.

In order to implement the program, UPN Veteran Jakarta received 53 students from Nusa Cendana University (UNDANA) totaling 43 students and Palang Karaya University (UPR) 10 students. This symbolic acceptance was carried out online on Monday (28/09/ 20).

In the opening ceremony, the Chancellor of UPN Veterans Jakarta, Erna Hernawati, said that this program was aimed at encouraging students to gain learning experiences outside of higher education, fostering a sense of nationality, strengthening intercultural understanding, and honing student leadership and independence during the learning process at tertiary institutions.

The program carried out by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) of the Directorate General of Higher Education (Dikti) will run through distance learning (PJJ) starting today, Monday (28/9). The program is carried out in line with the roles and objectives of higher education institutions in shaping the character and civilization of the nation.

The Chancellor of UPNVJ explained "seeing the spirit and mission contained in it, this program feels very important for our university and we must be involved in it. I thank you very much for the willingness and responsiveness of the Chancellor of UPR and Chancellor of UNDANA to work together to carry out this year's Independent Campus program collaboratively, even though our challenge to participate in this program feels great, but thanks to our commitment together this program can be implemented, "explained the Chancellor.

For a choice of courses, UPNVJ offers courses from three faculties and 6 study programs available at UPNVJ. The three faculties provided include the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Faculty of Computer Science and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. "The courses in it can be taught by the 2020 Pemata-Sakti participants, I hope that the students who take part can be enthusiastic and always active, with this activity we can increase intercultural experience not only in the academic field which can be united but we can strengthen our brotherhood because we are one nation” said the Chancellor of UPNVJ.

in the virtual opening of the Permata-Sakti program, symbolically the Chancellor of UNDANA Prof. Fredrik L. Benu gave his students to be able to study together with UPNVJ and UPR.

“Even though we feel far away because of the existing conditions. But emotionally we feel close. As we enter 2020 with a pandemic period, the Ministry of Education and Culture launched Permata Sakti with an information technology system. We hereby hand over 53 of our students to be able to study with UPNVJ and UPR. For us, this is a good opportunity to build networking and develop experience as well as to strengthen our nation and increase the value of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia within us all," said the Chancellor of UNDANA.

Not only that, UPR Chancellor Dr. Andrie Elia also expressed his gratitude to the chancellors as partners in the Permata-Sakti program. "We handed over our students to the chancellors and lecturers as teaching companions later. We warmly welcome UPNVJ and UPR students. My message is that this program can provide an opportunity for all of us to gain learning experience outside of higher education, and provide opportunities for lecturers to be able to collaborate, communicate and add insight, strengthening nationality.
