UPNVJ Public Relations – Thursday, November 12 2020, UPN Veteran Jakarta received a visit from the LVRI DPP. The visit was received directly by the Chancellor of UPN Veterans Jakarta, Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm and Deputy Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance Dr. Prasetyo Hadi, SE., MM., CFMP, in the Nusantara 1 meeting room, UPN Veterans Jakarta Rectorate building.

The visit of the DPP LVRI was at the same time part of the signing of the commitment with UPN Veteran Jakarta. The signing of the commitment was carried out in the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium room, 4th floor, UPN Veterans Jakarta Rectorate building. The signing ceremony was also attended by LVRI DPP officials and UPN Veterans Jakarta leaders.

The event started at 10.30 WIB, opened by the Chancellor of UPN Veterans Jakarta. In his remarks, the Chancellor expressed his deep gratitude to the LVRI DPP for visiting UPN Veteran Jakarta. "It is a great honor for us to be seen by seniors, thank you very much." .

The Chancellor also said that this visit was a form of friendship between DPP LVRI and UPN Veteran Jakarta. "This meeting is the beginning of friendship, therefore, UPN Veteran Jakarta, the name Veteran is attached to it, meaning that there is indeed our history that this UPN Veteran, 3 UPN in particular, is different from other universities. Where UPN was founded by fighters." In his remarks, the Chancellor also explained several things related to the development of UPN Veteran Jakarta and also the history of UPN Veteran Jakarta.

Closing his remarks, the Chancellor hoped that UPN Veteran Jakarta had realized the aspirations of the former fighters, namely being committed to always realizing the aspirations of the fighters.

Then the event continued with remarks by Major General TNI Retired. H. Saiful Sulun, who is the chairman of the LVRI DPP. Major General TNI Retired. H. Saiful Sulun expressed his gratitude and was very proud of UPN's progress. "We thank you for holding today's event. Today is an important day, a historic day when the DPP LVRI and UPN Veteran Jakarta meet again. We are very proud of the rapid development of UPN Jakarta and also UPN Surabaya and Yogyakarta. Extraordinary."

The General Chairperson of the LVRI DPP said that the main task of Veterans is to apply noble values and fighting values, as well as fighting spirit, especially to UPN students, defending the country. In addition, the general chairman of the DPP LVRI also said that there are 4 values, namely love for the motherland, willingness to sacrifice, never giving up, and believing in one's own strengths. "This is what provides the motivator. This value needs to be inherited. These values made me willing to sacrifice for independence. For students this value is to fill independence.''

Closing his remarks Major General TNI Retired. H. Saiful Sulun advised UPN Veterans Jakarta students and also the current generation, to become today's heroes to fill independence. In addition, UPN Veteran Jakarta students must have a fighting spirit and maintain the good name of the Veteran.

After the remarks, the event continued with the main event, namely the signing of a joint commitment between UPN Veteran Jakarta and DPP LVRI, then also giving souvenirs from UPN Veteran Jakarta to DPP LVRI, and from DPP LVRI to UPN Veteran Jakarta.
