UPNVJ employees are provided with Live Streaming Training in the Middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic

HumasUPNVJ - The Covid-19 pandemic has not subsided. Currently almost all activities are carried out online (in a network) starting from the teaching and learning process, meetings to various events that cannot be done face to face. Therefore, the use of live streaming is needed. Where streaming is the process of transferring data or information from one user to another, either directly or using certain applications which do not require downloading and will be displayed immediately.

In order to increase employee knowledge regarding the use of live streaming on campus , UPN Veteran Jakarta held a Training Workshop on Utilization of Streaming Technology in the Millennial Era on Wednesday 11 to Friday 13 November 2020 at Le Eminence Puncak Hotel Convention and Resort. This activity was attended by approximately 40 participants from representatives of each work unit.

The activity was opened directly by Erna Hernawati as Chancellor of UPNVJ, "I hope that this activity will produce output that is in accordance with the initial goal, namely that all employees involved can immediately apply what they have learned during the training. We hope that the upcoming activities or webinars will run smoothly and there will be no obstacles in their implementation." he said

This training presents three speakers who are experts in their respective fields, Robby Iskandar who is currently working at CNN and Detikcom who has been involved in online media and television for nine years. Endah Nuraeni, who has worked in the media for 8 years and now also works at CNN. In addition, Iman Firmansyah, a video journalist , who has 14 years of experience in the journalism world, was also present.

On the first day, the participants were given material regarding the use of streaming technology, by Robby Iskandar and Endah, "Apart from live streaming , at first we also have to know about VOD ( Video On Demand ), which in Indonesian means video on demand, is a television system. interactive which facilitates users to control or choose their own video programs and clips that you want to watch. For example, like youtube, netfilx, hooq, tiktok, indoXXI, and iflix. Meanwhile, examples of live streaming include Instagram live, Facebook live, CNN Indonesia and audio, such as Spotify, Joox and YouTube Music. Obviously Endah

"Please note that there are a number of things that we need to prepare to start live streaming, such as a PC/Laptop, camera and capture card for the hardware , while the required software is OBS, Wirecast and Vmix." continued Robbie

The second day's activities were continued with live streaming practice by the participants and the third day was filled with material regarding photography and journalism.

Catur Nugrahaeni as the person in charge of this event appealed to the participants to focus more on practice so that later it could be applied properly.
