HumasUPNVJ - As an effort to assist the government in monitoring Covid-19 cases in the urban areas of Depok and South Jakarta, UPN Veteran Jakarta held a rapid test intended for residents of the Pangkalan Jati sub-district, Limo sub-district, and Pondok Labu sub-district, on Monday (21 /12/20).
Based on information from the Covid-19 Center and Coordination website until Sunday (20/12/20) Depok is one of the cities in West Java with the most cases of Covid-19 with a total of 2,230 positive patients.
There were approximately 300 people who registered to take the rapid test held by UPNVJ. Technically, the organizing committee which is the UPNVJ academic community itself has prepared 7 medical personnel to carry out direct examinations with complete medical equipment and prioritize physical distancing or physical restrictions.
Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Cooperation, dr. Ria Maria Theresa said that the activity being carried out was part of UPNVJ's social service which was also part of the 58th UPNVJ National Defense and Diesnatalist Day which falls in January.
"This UPNVJ social service is the implementation of a rapid test for residents in the UPNVJ environment, even though the preparation is quite short, with the support of the sub-districts around UPNVJ this activity can be carried out as expected," said dr. Ria.
"Thank you to UPNVJ for organizing and facilitating mass rapid test activities to assist the government in monitoring the spread of the Covid - 19 case," said Nurul Baiti, Pondok Labu Urban Village Head, South Jakarta.
Residents of Pondok Labu alone registered 104 people who took this rapid test. Later, the results of the residents' inspection will be reported directly by the related urban village to be followed up later for a swab test examination.
In line with Nurul Baiti, Adityo, one of the residents in the UPNVJ environment who has taken the rapid test together, feels helped by the joint rapid test held by UPNVJ.
"This is the first time I have taken a rapid test together, it is very helpful, especially the process is very well managed starting from measuring body temperature, setting the distance between sitting between one another and the friendliness of the medical staff," said Adityo.
