HumasUPNVJ - Launching from the Tribunnews.com page, the Ministry of Education and Culture held an Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship event (KMI) Expo XI 2020 which was held with a virtual concept due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Director General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture Nizam opened the event which this year was held by Podomoro University as the host.

The KMI award is the place where all Indonesian student business activities originate, consisting of Indonesian Student Business Activities (KBMI), Acceleration of Strart UP Indonesian Students (ASMI), as well as inherent assistance by Practitioners/Entrepreneurs and lecturers through Indonesian Student Entrepreneurial Assistance (PWMI).

We should be grateful that UPNVJ's participation in this year's KMI also bore fruit, because UPNVJ won 2nd (two) place in the food and beverage category featuring the Detox Infused Water product which consisted of three students from the Nutrition study program namely Regina Aulia Ramadhani, Natia Defiana, Maulida Rohmatun and accompanying lecturer Ibnu Malkan Bakhrul Imli, S. Gz. M.Sc.

In addition, as a companion to the 2020 KMI program, Catur Nugrahaeni who is also a UPNVJ lecturer won the Best Indonesian Student Entrepreneurial Assistance (PWMI).

Regina Aulia Ramadhani, who is usually called Regina, one of the representatives of the winning members of the KMI 2020, said that this was the first time she had participated in the KMI Award event, but the entrepreneurial experience she had gained so far had made her confident in participating in the KMI event which was being held this year.

"So even though the submission was only this year, the business must have been running for at least 6 months, my business started in August 2019 and then had ups and downs due to college activities or the capital itself until I finally took part in KBMI activities and Alhamdulillah passed but another obstacle this year is the COVID-19 pandemic. 19, I usually trade on Car Free Day Sudirman, but because of the pandemic and CFD the business has been abolished and has shifted to online marketing," Regina explained.

The KMI award was held as an event to grow the spirit and abilities of Indonesian students in entrepreneurship. So that millennials, especially students, can contribute from an early age to build the Indonesian economy.

In addition, this event also hones the creative, innovative, and surviving spirit in every situation that should exist in the soul of entrepreneurs. As in 2020 where the Covid-19 pandemic took place, students are encouraged to be sensitive to problems and provide the best solutions.

Interestingly, even though it was held virtually, the KMI Expo XI 2020 event also continued to hold product exhibitions using the Hopin application as a forum for holding the expo where there were main stage, session and booth features. This event also presented a public lecture with competent speakers in entrepreneurship, including Sandiaga Uno, Patrick Effendy, Ilham Habibie, Dion Dewa Barata, Irfan Aulia, and Klemens A Rahardja.
