"This webinar activity is the main activity. Related to UPNVJ as a state defense campus. In this anniversary we want to deepen matters relating to state defense, to keep abreast of existing developments, especially those that will be used to make changes in the learning method at UPN Veteran Jakarta and implement state defense, trying to share state defense issues. this, because we believe that we must understand and implement state defense together.”

The Chancellor of UPN Veterans Jakarta also said that the material to be presented was interesting. "The webinar material is interesting, because we can see from the survey results, that internet users in Indonesia have reached 169.7 million. It reaches 73.7% of our population. This is the 2nd data portal for 2020. And social media users have reached 150 million. So UPN wants to explore this, because the influence of positive and negative social media is something we can feel. This webinar can encourage our behavior to be wise in using social media. I believe that with social media we can increase our sense of nationalism. We will continue to protect the Republic of Indonesia as a unitary state.”

The resource person in this webinar is Prof. Muradi, SS., M.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D with the theme Building Net Citizen Nationalism, which conveyed several things such as 6 approaches in social media and nationalism. One of them is also about Imagine Community. “Imagine Community is a mirror for future citizens, then it becomes today's truth, people in an imagined position whose society is not easy to manage”

Apart from that, regarding internet use, Muradi also conveyed that the age structure of the population in Indonesia is dominated by generation Z. "Indonesia is mostly dominated by millennials and generation Z. and this generation will greatly influence Indonesia in the next 5-10 years." “And in 2020, Indonesia will experience an increase in internet users. There are about 175 million internet users. There is almost an increase of 10 million” he continued.

Muradi also explained the results of a survey from Gallup relating to defending the nation's people "According to the Gallup survey, Indonesia's citizens are no better than China, the Philippines in terms of Fight For Country, we are far behind Pakistan, Indonesia does not want to Fight For Country. So this survey can be an evaluation for Indonesia, that only 70% of its people are willing to go to war." "Regarding defending the country, I think balancing between nationalism and defending the country is fixed. It cannot be negotiated because defending the country is not mandatory military service, defending the country is an obligation for its citizens. There is no option to refuse." he continued.

The 3rd Country Defense webinar series was closed with a question and answer session with the participants.
