HumasUPNVJ - Always looking for productive activities in the midst of a pandemic like this is something UPN Veteran Jakarta students enjoy doing. You can see one of the 2019 UPNVJ Faculty of Engineering students, Mutiara Salsabila Putri, who won the Best Position Paper award with the title " Binding Multilateral Cooperation to Integrated Services for Children with Disabilities" in the Asia Africa International Model United Nations activity. This award is quite encouraging because this competition is at the international level and is attended by more than 45 countries in the world.
Asia Africa International Model United Nations or previously known as Bali Asia International Model United Nations is a Model United Nations (MUN) competition organized by the International Global Network . MUN is a simulation of a United Nations / United Nations (UN) meeting/conference on how to diplomacy and become a representative of a country to solve existing problems. MUN is usually attended by students majoring in international relations. Joining this conference is a new thing for me, who is an industrial engineering student, where I can practice public speaking , negotiation, critical thinking , and research . On this occasion I represented Finland at the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) which discussed the topic of Binding Multilateral Cooperation to Integrated Services for Children with Disabilities .
The Asia Africa International Model United Nations has a selection process for the participants, starting from filling out the registration form along with the motivation letter , receiving a Letter of Acceptance (LoA), writing a Position Paper , Opening Ceremony , 1st day conference, 2nd day conference, and closing ceremony . The event will be held on 15 – 18 January 2021.
