HumasUPNVJ - After the Computer-Based Writing Examination for the 2021 Higher Education Entrance Joint Selection pathway (UTBK-SBMPTN) officially opened on March 15, the interest of prospective students to register has increased. It can be seen that several UTBK centers in each region are experiencing a shortage of seats. This information is obtained directly by the freshmen and parents.

Launching on the kompas.com page, some time ago, Head of the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute, Mohammad Nasih, said that his party was trying to increase the seat capacity in several UTBK centers. "We at LTMPT are also trying hard to be able to add seat capacity in several UTBK centers which are in deficit. Hopefully there will be results," said Nasih, when contacted by Kompas.com, Sunday (28/3/2021). Nasih explained that participants who had run out of their quota of exam seats at the PTN closest to their domicile could choose outside their domicile. Prospective UTBK participants are allowed to choose other UTBK centers that are still available. "It's okay to choose (UTBK center) outside the domicile. There is no prohibition," said Nasih when contacted by Kompas.com, Sunday (28/3/2021) afternoon.

For information, there are 74 UTBK centers or places that can be used as UTBK test locations, which are planned to start on April 12. Previously, UTBK-SBMPTN participants had to choose the nearest UTBK center to the participant's domicile, in order to avoid inter-city/province mobilization. However, LTMPT allows students to register in other areas due to the problem of a shortage of exam seats. However, the issue of the shortage of seats has been followed up by the party, LTMPT and currently, Public Relations of the Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) have received official information regarding the addition of seats. UPNVJ will add UTBK seats / additional exam sessions on May 3 and 4 for 2021 SBMPTN participants who have not registered.
