HumasUPNVJ - Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the PSM Gita Advayatva UPN Veteran Jakarta cannot directly take part in competitions, both national and international, so the virtual competition option is the best option. Indeed, this is different from the competitions that Gita Advayatva has often participated in, but this has not become an obstacle for PSM Gita Advayatva to continue working. The enthusiasm that continues to burn does not prevent them from making achievements that can make UPN Veteran Jakarta proud. It can be proven, recently that Gita Advayatva won 2nd place in an international competition. In his written report, Angel and the Gita Advayatva PSM team explained that the competition they took part in was a competition held by the Municipal Government of Zadar, Croatia. The 12th International Singing Choir Competition Zadar Croatia, is an international choir competition that has existed since 1997. This competition is a competition that began with a local choir festival in the city of Zadar in 1973 until the Croatian war of independence. This competition is designed to connect choirs from various parts of the world and showcase their rich cultural choral heritage through the medium of the first virtual choral concert by conducting live recordings which will be held on Thursday – Sunday, 20 – 23 May 2021 and will be attended by 30 participants in one team.

The UPNVJ Public Relations team also had the opportunity to conduct an online interview with Angelia Joseline, a team representative from Gita Advayatva. In her interview, Angel told a lot about the activities of the 12th International Singing Choir Competition Zadar Croatia that she and her team participated in, “The teams that joined this competition came from almost all faculties that is at UPNVJ, from class of 2018, 2019 to class of 2020. We see that there is potential that friends from Gita Advayatva have, apart from that we have also participated in international competitions several times so we are optimistic to take part in this activity. We practice three times a week since February on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. At the end of March to the end of April we practice 4 times a week so Monday, Wednesday, Friday and on Saturday we practice on campus. The most important preparation is health because this is still a pandemic. The health protocol is also during offline practice, one of our preparations, such as wearing a Kn95 mask, keeping your distance, carrying a hand sanitizer and always washing your hands before and after activities. Apart from that, we also prepared costumes, cameras and a place for recording . he said

"If asked about ups and downs, of course the joys are definitely more, sis, we are all very happy because we can take part in international competitions again and can also go to campus for offline training, meet friends even though we have to keep our distance and the time is only a few hours. Regarding the grief, yesterday we couldn't do the recording on campus so it was a bit complicated to carry a lot of stuff from the campus to the recording location, the offline practice was only once a week, so we couldn't sing at close range with other friends like before pandemic". he continued

"Hopefully in the next race we can be even better than this, we can continue to maintain the consistency we already have. For other friends, keep up the enthusiasm for college and continue to pursue your goals ". Close Angel to the PR team.
