FEB UPNVJ Holds Series 1 Executive Webinar with Inarno Djajadi President Director of PT. Indonesia stock exchange

HumasUPNVJ - As an effort to find out the movement and development of the investment world in the current era, the UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) Faculty of Economics and Business Masters of Management Program (UPNVJ) held a Webinar on Challenges and Strategies for the Development of the Indonesian Stock Exchange in the New Normal Era, on Thursday (24/ 06/21).

UPNVJ Chancellor Erna Hernawati in her remarks said this activity was a form of effort to produce graduates needed by the industrial world today. With this, students can find out the current pattern of business development and analyze it for the coming year, in order to achieve this, collaboration with industry players who play a role in bridging theoretical concepts with practice.

"My hope is that we will continue to make breakthroughs and continue to make changes in our learning system by prioritizing practical practices that are real to our lives and current conditions. "Business conditions change rapidly, with the condition that we are required to #stayhome, hopefully this will be our opportunity to increase opportunities, enrich competencies outside the field by adjusting the competencies needed in the current conditions and industry," said the Chancellor.

On this special occasion, FEB UPNVJ invited Inarno Djajadi who is the Main Director of PT. Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) to be a guest speaker who will also share his stories and experiences with today's webinar participants.

Inarno Djajadi told how the development of the capital market from before the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus until now.

According to him, some of the positive things that have been experienced from the COVID-19 pandemic are that it can increase public interest in investing in the capital market. Restricting people's space for movement actually provides more time to study investment.

Inarno also said that millennial investors are inseparable from technological developments. Currently, stock, bond or mutual fund transactions can be done through the application. Even account opening can also be done online.

At the end of the event, the Dean of FEB, Dianwicaksih Arieftiara also expressed his hope that in the future FEB UPNVJ and IDX could work together in the field of higher education tridharma such as teaching staff assistance, and research and community service with the aim of adding insight into the capital market and how the stock exchange works for the wider community.
