Interestingly, UPNVJ Holds a Sharing Session with Students who Pass Scholarships to Study Abroad

HumasUPNVJ - Not long ago UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) received good news from students who had successfully passed the Indonesian International Students Mobility Awards (IISMA) which is a joint program between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) and the Education Fund Manager (LPDP).

IISMA is one of the flagship programs of the eight Independent Campus Programs with the aim of providing rights and opportunities for students to carry out self-development activities off campus, to be precise at foreign universities.

The opportunity to study abroad, which is coveted by many students, was obtained by 8 UPNVJ students, including Zalwa Apriliana Sesa, a FISIP student who passed to study at Korea University, Tsabitha Afnan Putri Wahyudhi, a student at the Faculty of Law, passed to study at The Pennsylvania State University, Ernanda Dalimunthe FISIP students qualify at Pompeu Fabra University.

In addition, Mutya Pratiwi, a FIKES student, passed at the University of Science Malaysia, Audrey Chairunnisa Imanjaya, a FISIP student, passed at the University of Sussex, I Made Agung Januardi, a student from the Faculty of Engineering, passed at the University of Waterloo, and Alisa Adrina, a FISIP student, passed at the University of York, and Darlene Gitta Hamida, a FISIP student, passed at Yonsei University.

This proud news was happily welcomed by all academics, especially the UPNVJ Chancellor Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA, CGOP. He expressed his gratitude for all the efforts and hard work of the students and those who supported this achievement.

“Thank you also to those who support this student activity. We also strive for this sharing session to be an opportunity for other students to gain knowledge and broaden their horizons for future students who wish to be able to follow the same path. I also hope that the selected students can carry out their duties and represent UPNVJ by providing the best for UPNVJ's alma mater," said the Chancellor in his remarks at the Sharing Session of IISMA 2021 graduating students which was held online, on Wednesday (23/06/21).

Other students who joined the Sharing Session were given the opportunity to get lots of input and some tips to be able to follow in the footsteps of this year's IISMA graduates. With the opportunity to study abroad in accordance with the desired major, it may be the dream of many students. With this, it is hoped that other students can be motivated to follow in the footsteps of those who have succeeded in IISMA 2021.
