HumasUPNVJ - In order to provide training to academics and practitioners of criminal law and criminology, the Faculty of Law UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) in collaboration with the Indonesian Society of Criminal Law and Criminology (MAHUPIKI), Center for Research Development of the Criminal Justice System of Brawijaya University (PERSADA UB), Department of Criminology FISIP University of Indonesia, and several other law faculties from other campuses held a national upgrading of criminal law and criminology.
The activity was held for four days, from 9 October to 17 October 2021 with the theme related to the Development of Principles, Theory and Practice of Criminal Law and Criminology during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The UPNVJ Faculty of Law in this activity sent six criminal law and criminology lecturers who contributed as participants and committee in the national upgrading of criminal law and criminology.
The enthusiasm of academics and criminal law practitioners to take part in this training is quite high.
It was recorded that 86 participants took part in the upgrading, even though it was carried out online, it did not stop the participants from various campuses from all over Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua, from attending.
Dr. Yenti Garnasih, SH, MH General Chair of Mahupiki, as a resource person, conducted a discussion on the principles and patterns of dealing with crimes related to the economy.
Besides that, Prof. Eddy OS Hiariej, who is a Professor of Criminal Law at UGM who emphasizes the principles of criminal law during a pandemic.
Not only that, Prof. Elwi Danil, Professor of Criminal Law at Andalas University, deepened the discussion on Prevention and Eradication of Corruption Crimes during a pandemic and was closed by Dr. Ahmad Sofyan, from BINUS University who discussed the Use of Causality Teachings in criminal responsibility during the Pandemic.
