HumasUPNVJ - Thursday, December 2 2021, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) held an International Soft Opening Conference & Call For Papers Jakarta Economic Sustainability Conference Agenda ( JESICA), which was held for 3 days from the 2nd December 2021 to December 4, 2021 which will be held online .
Chief Executive of JESICA Fachru Novrian, Ph.D . In his remarks he said that JESICA was the first international agenda held by FEB UPNVJ, he hoped that this event could provide benefits for all parties.
One of the other series of events was Editor Talks hosted by Ranila Suciati, SE, MM, CFPR. Editor Talks session which presents several competent presenters to deliver material. Ir. Hanan Nugroho, Main Expert Planner of BAPPENAS started the Editors Talk session with a presentation of the material he presented, he explained in general about the journals in BAPPENAS, he described the journey of journals in BAPPENAS more specifically from year to year which has developed.
The second speaker was Harry Wibowo as the Executive Editor of PRISMA, on this occasion he presented material with the title “PRISMA From 'Magazine' to 'Journal'. He described his experience in managing the PRISMA journal. He began his presentation by discussing the uniqueness of the PRISMA Journal, where PRISMA had been established since the early 1970s and was neither an academic journal nor a magazine. Mr. Harry Wibowo explained that in fact PRISMA is a scientific journal that seeks to combine scientific accountability and journalistic clarity.
The Editors Talk was ended by the last speaker, Prof. Tulus Tambunan, an initiator and chief editor of an international journal related to Small and Medium Enterprise and Business Sustaunability . On this occasion, Prof. Tulus Tambunan explained that the journal is an online journal jointly compiled by Trisakti University and the University of Social Science in Warsaw, Poland.
The activity was followed by Calling for Paper which was carried out using the Breakout Room system, there were several rooms with various discussion themes such as Islamic Economics, Management, Accounting, and Development Economics. In each room , a paper presentation is held to the audience led by a moderator. As well as held discussions related to the paper that has been presented in the existing rooms .
Dr. Erna Herawati, Ak, CPMA, CA, CGOP UPNVJ Chancellor said that he said that the Covid-19 pandemic was not an obstacle to continuing to hold international conferences organized by FEB UPNVJ. The Chancellor said that UPNVJ always pays attention to global socio-economic issues to be studied scientifically in scientific literature. Our current agenda, namely JESICA, is one of our implementations as an educational institution in playing a role in building economic resilience in the pandemic era.
In line with that, the Dean of FEB UPNVJ Dr. Dianwicaksih Arieftiara, SE. Ak., M.Ak, CA, CSRS. said that currently the Covid-19 pandemic is sweeping the whole world, but he asked all students to become more creative individuals in carrying out activities. Students must also prepare themselves to face the dynamics of an ever-evolving era, because there are many positive and interesting things to take advantage of.
Prof. Robert Boyer from the Institut des Ameriques France. On this occasion, he presented material on the interaction of health and the economy entitled " The Pandemic: How Do Health and Economy Interaction" . He scientifically discussed how health and the economy interact, especially in the current pandemic era.
Besides that, Prof. Jomo KS from the Malaysian Academy of Science. He presented material entitled " Tropical Tragedy? From Tropical Advantage to Curse” . On this occasion he had the opportunity to discuss several points related to the theme of his discussion around economic and social life in tropical countries, such as Tropical terms of trade, Food security, Tropical diseases and others.
Prof. Tulus TH Tambunan from Trisakti University, Indonesia. He presented the theme of financial discussion entitled " Financial Inclusion, Financial Technology, and MSMEs: A Case of Indonesia ". He discussed the latest conditions and updates regarding the financial industry in Indonesia, he presented material in a comprehensive manner and was supplemented with scientific data.
