HumasUPNVJ - Friday, December 3, 2021 is the second day of the Jakarta Economic Sustainability International Conference which was held online by the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UPN Veterans Jakarta (UPNVJ).
On the second day a Webinar and Scientific Discussion was held which was guided by Zackaria Rialmi, S.IP., MM, CHRP as the moderator along with Ir. Jerry Marmen, MS, M.Ec, M.Mgt, Ph.D as Co-Moderator with several speakers from three different countries, namely Indonesia, France and the United States.
In the material Prof. Jayati Ghosh from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she presented material about the economy in India with the special theme " Indian Capitalism and Industrialism" and entitled " Why Has Indian Capitalism Not Been Able To Generate Successful Industrialization ?" He scientifically discussed why capitalism in India was unable to succeed in industrialization. In his presentation he discussed several points such as Asia's “ Emerging Markets ”, what is development, India's significance in global trade, what is the role of Financial Liberation , and other discussions related to capitalism and industrialism in India.
Apart from that, other presenters, Prof. Olivier Faverau from Paris Nanterre University France. He presented material entitled " Sustainability in Corporate Governance" . On this occasion he conveyed his discussion related to Corporate Governance by discussing several points, such as conventional policies regarding Corporate Governance in the 1970-1980 decade, structural problems of Corporate Governance, financialization of capitalism in the 1970-1980 decade, what was not recommended to be done during the now associated with Corporate Governance. He explains material on Corporate Governance competently and with scientific discussion accompanied by data and theoretical basis.
The last resource person, Ms. Dr. Dianwicaksih Arieftiara, SE, Ak., M.Ak, CA, CSRS who is the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) gave a discussion entitled " Circular Economy & Business Sustainability in The Anthropocene Era ". He discussed the Anthropocene era, what and why circular economy, as well as business activities and their sustainability. He presented material in a comprehensive, competent manner, and was equipped with scientific data.
The activity ended with a scientific discussion between the speakers and the audience guided by the moderator and co-moderator. The discussion activities ran smoothly and were full of useful scientific treasures.
