HumasUPNVJ - After obtaining the Excellent accreditation of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) UPN Veterans Jakarta (UPNVJ) again made a new breakthrough by making preparations for the establishment of the Radiology Specialist Medical Education study program.

Located in the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital Building, FK UPNVJ received a Specialist Collegium Visitation -1, on Tuesday (15/03/22).

The event was attended by the Chancellor of UPNVJ and his staff, 8 (eight) assessors from the Indonesian Radiology Collegium, and officials of the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, including Lt. Gen. TNI dr. A. Budi Sulistya Head of RSPAD Gatot Subroto and Lieutenant General TNI Retired Prof. Dr. dr. Terawan Agus Putranto, Consultant Doctor of Interventional Radiology at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital.

Not only that, the event which will become a new history of FK UPNVJ was also attended by Prof. Tjitjik Sri Tjahjandarie, Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture and also Chair of the UPNVJ BLU Supervisory Board.

"FK UPNVJ has been around for 29 years based on the Decree of the Minister of Defense and Security of the Republic of Indonesia Number: KEP/01/II/1993, when UPNVJ was still in the status of PT Service Office under the Ministry of Defense. The doctors we graduate have the jargon of pride, namely Doctors for the Nation. For this reason, the proposal for the Radiology Specialist Study Program is a form of State Defense for UPNVJ and RSPAD to actively participate, contribute, and contribute concretely to the number of specialist doctors who are still very much needed in this country that we love, "explained UPNVJ Chancellor Dr. Erna Hernawari, in her speech.

Support was also present from Prof. Tjitjik Sri Tjahjandarie who conveyed that this proposal is one of UPNVJ's visions as a State Defense campus to be able to build national resilience from all aspects, one of which is from the health aspect.

"All of this has a noble goal in the future. We will provide access to health in areas that are still limited in terms of health. It doesn't end here. We hope that in 3 to 4 years more and more specialist study programs will be opened by universities that meet the standards and even exceed the expected standards. We also really hope that the assessors who are present today can see the preparations and assess what has been done by the UPNVJ FK and RSPAD. I make sure that the UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine and RSPAD will be ready to fill in any deficiencies from the results of the assessment carried out," closed Prof. Tjitjik.

In line with this, Lt. Gen. TNI dr. A. Budi Sulistya, who is the Head of the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, also said that the close relationship between the UPNVJ and the RSPAD and the TNI had existed for a long time, especially in the health sector. He also conveyed a message from the Army Chief of Staff, General TNI Dudung Abdurachman, SE, MM that he would fully support the proposed establishment of the Radiology Specialist Medical Education Study Program.
