Benchmarking of Research and Community Service UPN Veterans Jakarta with Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University

UPNVJ PR – Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta University (UPNVJ) together with Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (UNTIRTA) held a benchmarking activity for Research and Community Service. This activity was initiated by the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) UPNVJ in order to build cooperation between LPPM UPNVJ and LPPM UNTIRTA.

This activity was opened with remarks from officials from each campus, both from UPNVJ or UNTIRTA. Vice Rector for General Administration, Planning, Financial Management, Human Resources and Facilities, H. Kurnia Nugraha, ST., MT, UNTIRTA conveyed his welcome to UPNVJ. Kurnia also conveyed some of the existing infrastructure in the new campus environment as an initial introduction to open discussions about research and community service.

"Today, we really want to collaborate with LPPM UNTIRTA in relation to research and community service or other things that can be collaborated, considering that at this time we need cooperation to be able to achieve targets in relation to ministerial programs," continued the Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Prasetyo Hadi, SE., MM., CFMP, in Banten, Tangerang City, on Wednesday (8/6/2022).

This activity was also attended by the head of LPPM UPNVJ, Dr. Sri Lestari Wahyuningroem, and the Secretary of LPPM UNTIRTA, Prof. Dr. Yeyen Maryani, M.Si. as well as the head of the LPPM of the two campuses. The discussion by the two teams was an introduction to each other, both from the LPPM organizational system to the performance of research that has been and will be carried out.

The discussion encompassed many things, starting from population and gender research, environment and disaster mitigation, youth and community empowerment service center, center for managing and developing KKM, center for food security and halal studies, center for KL and downstream research results, research center and study center, PKM and KKN centers, publication and dissemination centers, to intellectual property rights centers.

The journey in achieving this research, of course, met many obstacles. According to the Vice Rector for General Administration, Planning, Financial Management, Human Resources and Facilities, H. Kurnia Nugraha, ST., MT, the difficulty in conducting a research is to ensure that the funds spent matches the output produced. The regulations made require that the results are in accordance with the outputs given, so sometimes it is difficult when getting grant funds or the like has to go straight with the results. Therefore, it is important to work together with fellow educational institutions so that the expected results are in line with the targets.

"We hope that with this collaboration with UPN Veterans Jakarta we can learn from each other important research, especially in making journals. So that later journals from both UPN Veterans Jakarta and UNTIRTA can be combined into good research,” stated Kurnia pleasantly.
