Improving the Quality of SME and Ormawa Guidance, UPNVJ Continues P3 MAWA Day Two

UPNVJ PR - In accordance with its meaning, Student Activity Unit (UKM) is a Student Activity Unit which aims as a forum and means of developing students' interests and talents as well as extracurricular activities. With this, of course, every SME also requires the presence of a coach in it. Therefore, the Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) carries out the Student Assistance Development Training (P3 MAWA) which aims to be able to provide strategic plans to students so that they carry out activities that are right on target and carry out activities that are of course in accordance with the vision mission of UPNVJ. This activity was attended by all Deputy Deans for Division Three from seven faculties and seventeen from twenty-five UKM supervisors within the UPNVJ. (13/6)

The P3MAWA implementation has been going on for two days, on this second day, UPNVJ presented Dr. Parmin, M.Pd as Deputy Dean of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Semarang State University as well as Secretary General of the Indonesian Science Educators Association and Dr. Ujan Suwarna as the Kemdikbud-Ristek Reviewer as a resource person.

The first speaker, Dr. Parmin through online (zoom meeting) explained about the Risk Management of Student Organization Activities, Management of Student Organizations by Higher Education and Campus Environment Violence. In the material presented by Dr. Parmin, he also explained regarding the Belmawa Policy (Learning and Student Affairs), "Student Development includes Strengthening Student Character which includes the first Leadership, Cooperation, Social Concern and Competitive Spirit such as PKM (Student Creativity Program), second, Student Organization Development in it covering Leadership, Nationality, Student Organizations (Ormawa) and SMEs, Strengthening Higher Education Capacity, Fostering Ormawa & Students, Character and Entrepreneurship," he explained.

"There are several duties of the SME Trustees that must be considered, including ensuring that ormawa activities must be in line with the goals of national higher education, comply with applicable legal provisions in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, be physically and psychologically safe, free from practical political interests, free from atmosphere and acts of intolerance, bullying, physical violence, psychological violence, and sexual violence," he continued.

Apart from the presentation of Dr. Parmin, the second resource person, Dr. Ujang who was present through face-to-face directly conveyed in detail and detail about important things that must be considered related to "Ormawa Development."
