HumasUPNVJ - The UPNVJ men's team badminton team contributed a silver medal at the 2022 PORSIMNAS event. UPNVJ contingents Muhammad Ghazi and Muhammad Iqbal had to settle for a silver medal for defeat against UPNVYK contingent in the men's team class with a score of 2-0. The match took place at Gor Sahabat, Surabaya, Friday (15/07/2022).

Farchan Ardiansyah, who is the UPNVJ contingent badminton coach, revealed that the silver medal obtained by his students was considered quite encouraging. He also feels proud of his students, considering that in the team class the players looked very enthusiastic.

"Despite getting silver, I as a coach are quite proud of this achievement. Considering that the men's team did not expect us to be able to enter the final, in this performance I was proud because they wanted to fight it out," said Farchan.

During the match in the final against representatives of UPNVYK, Ghazi and Iqbal were under quite a lot of pressure and resistance. Several times experienced long rallies. In the interview session, Ghazi said he would continue to train for better results.

"I am grateful for what I received at this time, because this is the first time the two of us have been paired, I thank Iqbal for showing his best and in the end we can form good communication and a good game too," he continued.

Ghazi also emphasized that he would continue to practice in order to get the best results to make UPN Veteran Jakarta proud.
