HumasUPNVJ - The 2nd batch of Independent Student Exchange Program held in 2022 (PMM 2) is a one-semester domestic student exchange program from one island to another to provide an experience of diversity through participation in the Nusantara Module, courses, and various activities related who can obtain credit recognition of up to 20 credits. PMM 2 is managed by the PMM 2 Program Team of the Ministry of Education and Culture (PMM 2 Program Team). PMM 2 provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to study for one semester at the receiving university in the odd semester of 2022/2023. The location of the receiving university is on a different island from the domicile of the sending university and the domicile of the student's origin. PMM 2 provides lecture options up to a maximum of 20 credits, which includes mandatory activities in the form of the Nusantara Module and courses offered by the receiving university.
Met face to face by the UPNVJ Public Relations Team, UPNVJ Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Anter Venus explained in detail the purpose of this PMM activity to students, "Improving national insight, integrity, solidarity, and a forum for national bonding among students throughout Indonesia, through intercultural learning, Developing leadership and soft skills that are adaptive to various backgrounds so as to increase the value of unity. and nationalism, providing opportunities for students to gain learning experiences at receiving universities, as well as getting credit recognition, and of course to strengthen, increase, and enrich students' competencies," explained Venus.
In addition to having specific goals for students, this PMM also has goals for universities, "This activity has a goal, namely to improve the ability of universities to organize quality learning and manage student exchange programs and provide ideas for internalizing or developing program governance at the receiving and sender universities,” continued Venus.
The distribution of students participating in the PMM UPNVJ 2022 is comprehensive across all islands in Indonesia including: Aceh 13 people, Riau 3 people, Bengkulu 1 person, Kalimantan 3 people, Sulawesi 32 people, Bali 4 people, NTT 2 people and Maluku 5 people.
The total inbound students (who were accepted by UPNVJ) were 63 students with a total of 21 males and a total of 24 females.
Venus also explained the four main types of Nusantara Module activities in this year's PMM program, namely:
-Diversity: Students participate in diversity promotion activities held by recipient universities, for example: museum visits, visits to houses of worship, tourist tours as much as 14 times in the program
-Inspiration: Students take part in talk shows from local inspirational figures, for example: Regional culturalists, regional achievers athletes, regional heads, entrepreneurs, successful figures 3 times in the program
-Reflection: Students reflect on the experience of diversity to understand and appreciate diversity, for example: Group sharing, reflection, reflection 7 times in the program
-Social Contribution: Students carry out social contribution activities in the receiving university area, for example: Social service, hospital volunteers, inspiration in schools 1 time in the program. A total of 25 activities in 1 semester
