UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine Conducts Reaccreditation to Achieve Superior Accreditation

HumasUPNVJ – The UPN Veterans Jakarta Faculty of Medicine has again carried out accreditation in order to improve the quality and quality of the faculty and also of each study program. In 2021 the accreditation process will be carried out online given the Covid-19 pandemic. This year the re-accreditation was carried out offline by presenting two assessors from the Higher Education Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM-PTKes) on Monday (05/07/2022).

Based on what was conveyed by the LAM-PTKes assessor team represented by dr. Paramasari Dirgahayu, Ph.D, investigations conducted offline will result in a five-year accreditation period, in contrast to online investigations which are only valid for one year. "In September 2022 the accreditation period will expire. Then it is offered again if it is still during the pandemic you want to continue online or offline. However, with the current process the government has stated that it has returned to endemic, so the LAM-PTKes ordered it to be carried out offline and a decree was issued for five years." Obviously Paramasari.

The investigation process began with a visitation to the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital which is the main teaching hospital based on the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number HK.01.07/MENKES/11317/2020 concerning Designation of the Main Teaching Hospital for the Faculty of Medicine at the Jakarta Veterans National Development University.

The hospital also welcomed the arrival of the assessor team warmly and was cooperative in supporting the re-accreditation process. In his remarks the Head of the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital who was represented by his Deputy, Major General TNI dr. Lukman Maruf, Sp.BS, M.Kes, MH, expressed his highest appreciation for the team of assessors who carried out field assessments directly at the RSPAD.

The ongoing collaboration between the UPN Veterans Jakarta Faculty of Medicine and the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital certainly has a positive impact on this re-accreditation process. Deputy Head of RSPAD Gatot Soebroto optimistically stated that RSPAD could bring many benefits to the university. "In addition to the regulations regarding the designation of the Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital as the main teaching hospital, the RSPAD which is a type A hospital, provides health services to the community with various cases at an advanced level. This of course will be useful as a learning resource for students plus human resources, namely Clinical Educators with specialists who support each study program." Luqman said.

Further field assessment activities were carried out at the Cipayung Health Center, Depok and Pasar Minggu Hospital. Then the university and faculty along with a team of assessors visited the FK MERCe Building, Limo for further investigation before finally carrying out an Exit Strategy to compare last year's investigation with this year's.
