In the Context of Internationalizing the University, UPNVJ Holds Socialization of Overseas Service Travel Mechanisms

HumasUPNVJ - In order to realize an orderly administration of foreign official travel (PDLN) within the Jakarta "Veteran" UPN environment, a socialization of the mechanisms and procedures was held on Friday (28/10/2022). The activity was carried out offline through a Zoom Meeting by presenting two speakers from the Bureau of Foreign Technical Cooperation of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, namely De'norraliana Ali Gryan and Shelvy Arini.

Deputy Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Prasetyo Hadi, SE., MM., CFMP when opening the socialization said that currently the Ministry of Education and Culture is pushing for the internationalization of Higher Education so it is necessary to know the mechanisms and procedures for traveling abroad, "According to the target of the Ministry of Education and Culture, now there are many demands to go international to cooperate with Universities Overseas universities, student exchanges both from inside to outside and from outside to inside.” Prasetyo said.

In her presentation, De'norraliana explained that the flow of approval for overseas official travel starts from submitting a PDLN application by the applicant agency. The application will be submitted to the Ministry of State Secretariat for verification of files and validation of application data until the issuance of the PDLN approval. Then the official passport and exit permit are issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The last flow is the issuance of service visas from Representatives of Foreign Countries.

After explaining the PDLN mechanisms and procedures, the event continued with a question and answer session to find out more about what had been explained by the speakers.
