The Elected Chancellor Is Expected To Bring UPNVJ To Achieve The Vision

HumasUPNVJ - Chancellor of the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) Prof. Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak. CPMA, CA hopes that the Elected Chancellor Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm can bring UPNVJ to achieve the vision of "Becoming a Superior University of international quality that is innovative, competitive and has the identity of Defending the Country for the development of Indonesian society".

"My hope is that the elected Chancellor will be able to continue the existing program. In the future UPNVJ is facing a fairly large program, namely starting to be effective as a Public Service Agency (BLU) and preparing the Ministry's plan to turn BLU State Universities into Legal Entity State Universities," the Chancellor said during an interview after the election of the Chancellor for the 2022-2026 period on Campus UPNVJ Pondok Labu, South Jakarta, Monday (10/10/2022).

The Chancellor also hopes that the Elected Chancellor will be able to work together with all academics to achieve UPNVJ's vision. The frictions that had arisen during the Chancellor election process had to be eliminated in order to achieve the common goal.

Related to the leadership relay to the Elected Chancellor Dr. Anter Venus, the Chancellor said the Chancellor's leadership must be in accordance with UPNVJ's plans and strategies that have been prepared.

“The Chancellor must be guided by the strategic plan. With the new cabinet of the Elected Chancellor, UPNVJ's vision should be realized," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of the Human Resources Bureau of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Dra. Dyah Ismayanti, M.ed, who was present to represent Minister Nadiem Anwar Makarim in his remarks before voting for the chancellor election said that the candidate for chancellor must be committed to strengthening internal aspects as well as building solid synergies and opening up spaces for collaboration with industry and other resources.

“Rapid technological and economic changes must be followed by an increase in competence. Therefore, a symbiosis of mutualism between universities and the industrial world must be built," he said.

To the prospective chancellor, Dyah also advised to strengthen accountability and institutional quality of UPNVJ because the ability of a nation is influenced by human resources and national character is the main capital.

"Hopefully we are always given the ability to carry out the mandate to educate the nation's life," he said.
