UPNVJ Collaborates with TAGANA IKAUPNVJ Caring for Cianjur Earthquake Victims

HumasUPNVJ – Indonesia is grieving over the natural disaster that befell Cianjur on Monday, November 21, 2022. As a tertiary institution that serves the community, the campus together with the BEM of the university who collaborated with TAGANA IKAUPNVJ (Disaster Response Alumni Association) UPN "Veteran" Jakarta certainly showed empathy by providing assistance in the form of donations and used goods. This is also a concrete manifestation of the university and TAGANA IKAUPNVJ itself being responsive to disasters.

The TAGANA IKAUPNVJ team and several members of the university's BEM are planned to leave for the disaster site today (23/11) and aid will be distributed tomorrow at the latest. The assistance will be used as much as possible for the children or adults who are there. Based on the recognition of Ghatfhan Hanif Deputy Chairperson of BEM University, the assistance provided was not only in the form of clothing but also logistics ranging from medical equipment, medicines, food and drinks.

Hanif also said that UPN "Veteran" Jakarta through the university's BEM had coordinated to participate further in helping disaster victims, " God willing , on Friday we will conduct an assessment and mapping of the area there and as an additional point we have and will carry out further coordination to my faculty friends for their involvement in the Cianjur disaster.” Hanif said.

Through this activity, both the campus and TAGANA IKAUPNVJ can provide impacts and benefits to the local community so that they are able to ease the burden on disaster victims, "Hopefully the efforts made by our good friends and the UPNVJ alumni association can have an impact and be of benefit to the people of Cianjur. The planned arrival is expected to be able to entertain the community as well and the most important thing is our service to the community." Hanif said. Of course, it is also hoped that this dedication can bring the good name of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta in the eyes of the wider community.
