LPPM UPNVJ HELD JAKARTA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RESERCH INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

HumasUPNVJ - The emergence and rapid spread of COVID-19 has caused us to face a global health, economic and humanitarian crisis like no other. As of 30 November 2022, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported 6,614,802 deaths worldwide due to the Covid-19 virus. In the economy, with millions of people forced to work from home, with offices and shops closed as part of lockdown measures, and with travel restrictions around the world, it was inevitable that the economy would suffer. The International Labor Organization (ILO) states that millions of people will be out of work or underemployed as a result of the pandemic. Other aspects are also affected, including political, social and even cultural. In the monitoring of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), all of this has a real impact on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda which is the commitment of countries in the world which are targeted to be achieved by 2030.

Even though there are many negative impacts that have arisen, we also need to see the pandemic as an opportunity that forces us to innovate to find solutions to various existing problems, both those caused by pandemics and others. This is also inseparable from the demand to accelerate the achievement of the SDGs which had slowed down during the pandemic. In this case, the academic world has an important contribution in identifying existing problems and finding innovative solutions through scientific research produced by academics. In line with this, the UPNVJ Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) is holding an international conference, the Jakarta International Conference on Research Innovation and Sustainable Development (JICRISD) which will be held on December 5, 2022 via online (online).
