Supporting Environmentally Friendly Activities, UPNVJ and Ikatsi Hold Ecoprint Seminars and Training

UPNVJ Public Relations - Currently, many ecoprint techniques are starting to be looked at and developed. As we know, ecoprint is a coloring technique using natural materials. The use of natural materials is of course closely related to the environment. Because natural and environmental conditions are increasingly worrying, awareness of preserving the environment is increasing. In line with this, the Indonesian Textile Alumni Association is working with the Faculty of Engineering UPN "Veteran" Jakarta to organize seminars and training that discuss ecoprints in detail which takes place at the UPNVJ Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium. (8/2)

The Seminar and Training was attended by the Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs and Cooperation (Warek 3), dr. Ria and also Ms. Rena Venus represented the Chancellor of UPNVJ.

UPNVJ Warek 3 in his speech fully supports the activities held by FT due to the fact that natural conditions are increasingly apprehensive, so many activities are needed that have a positive impact, "Since 2019, UPNVJ has submitted another Bachelor of Textile Engineering Study Program. Seeing the increasingly apprehensive natural conditions, there is a need for self-awareness, especially for Higher Education which is of course assisted by the community for environmental preservation, this is in line with UPNVJ as a State Defense Campus. With this in mind, we hope that the Textile Engineering Study Program can issue its license soon so that it can accept new students," said dr. Ria

This Ecoprint Seminar and Training event was initiated by DPW IKATSI Jakarta Raya in collaboration with and fully supported by the UPNVJ Academy Community by presenting three resource persons, Dr. Ida Nuramdhani, Musawwi Dwi Atmodjo and Rr. Liendia Sistinawa M.

The specialty of Ecoprint can be used as an alternative way to reduce damage to the environment and ecosystems due to chemical waste from textile factories.
