Winning at the International Event, UPNVJ Fikes Student Wins Bronze Medal at Thailand Investors Day 2023

HumasUPNVJ – UPN "Veteran" Jakarta students have made another achievement in the international arena. A team of students from the Nutrition Study Program Undergraduate Program of the Faculty of Health Sciences (Fikes) UPNVJ won a Bronze Medal in the Indonesia Inventors Day Event in the Food and Culinary category. Thailand Investors Day is a competition held by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). This competition was attended by 24 countries and was held offline at the Bangkok International Trade Exhibition Center (BITEC). This activity is an event to show international-level student innovation which is attended by 469 innovations from 24 countries and 29 world organizations. This activity was held for five days, starting from 2 February to 6 February 2023.

Fairuz Nur Angarawati, Nastyenka Zaneta Pasaribu, and Azzahra Bonita Nugroho with supervisor Nanang Nasrulloh, STP., M.Sc representing the UPNVJ FIKES. The title of the innovation from this team is Pumpkin Seed Cookies to Prevent Cardiovascular Disease.

The UPNVJ Public Relations team conducted a direct interview online with Fairuz who represented the team, Fairuz said that they took part in this activity to learn to implement the knowledge they had acquired on campus, "We took part in this competition to implement the knowledge we had received in lectures, add experience and new knowledge, as well as expanding relationships”, he said representing his team

"The preparation that we did was quite long, starting from finding and developing innovative ideas and then turning these ideas into a product, testing the product in the laboratory, and promoting the product in international arenas. In our journey there were many obstacles and obstacles, but we went through all of them with all our heart so that these obstacles and obstacles became a very valuable lesson for the development of our products, "he continued
