HumasUPNVJ - National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta hosted the inaugural anniversary of the Hyperbaric Association at UPNVJ Limo Campus on Thursday (8/6).

The event was attended by members of the Hyperbaric Association, UPNVJ academics and a number of attendees who had or did not undergo hyperbaric therapy.

Depok DPRD chairman HT M Yusufsyah Putra together with TNI Admiral (Retired) Slamet Soebijanto also attended the event as invited guests. Meanwhile, the internal ranks were represented by UPNVJ Chancellor for the 2018-2022 period Prof. Dr. Erna Hernawati. Ak. CPMA. CA and Head of Hyperbaric Clinic Prof. Dr. dr. Mohammad Guritno Surokusumo, SMHS, DEA.

This first anniversary celebration took place in the front yard of the UPNVJ Hyperbaric Therapy Clinic from 10.00 to 13.00 WIB.

The series of events included an introduction to hyperbaric therapy at UPNVJ and the Hyperbaric Association community. As Head of the UPNVJ Hyperbaric Clinic, Prof. Guritno conveyed material about the ins and outs of this therapy.

Through this inaugural anniversary event, the Hyperbaric Association hopes to collaborate with hyperbaric at UPNVJ. Apart from that, the association also hopes that people can get to know more about hyperbaric therapy.

Hyperbaric is a method of treatment that is carried out by inhaling pure oxygen in a room with high air pressure. With such room conditions, the flow of oxygen into the body will be more.

When hyperbaric therapy is performed, the room to be used has air pressure up to three times higher than normal air pressure. With the condition of the room, it is hoped that the flow of oxygen that enters the body will be more.

Hyperbaric therapy is used to treat various ailments, including carbon monoxide poisoning, anemia, burns, and sudden loss of hearing and vision.
