Inspector General of the Ministry of Education and Culture for Research and Technology Monitors the Implementation of Penmaru at UPNVJ

HumasUPNVJ – Admission of new students is a big goal of a university, both public and private. Particularly in state universities such as UPN "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ), the implementation of new student admissions is of course guided by government regulations. There should be no corrupt, collusive, or other fraudulent practices.

Therefore the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) together with the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research and Technology are committed to conducting an examination of the implementation of new student admissions at every state university in Indonesia.

UPNVJ today (06/06) the arrival of the Monitoring Team for New Student Admissions from the Inspector General of the Ministry of Education and Culture visited UPNVJ to monitor and examine the implementation of new student admissions at UPNVJ.

Chaired by Dharmasta with Semi Widayati and Yusron Nurrachim as members, this team has the duty and responsibility to carry out monitoring that covers all channels in UPNVJ.

This monitoring is a major concern for the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research and Technology, especially after the emergence of a corruption case that hit a state university in Indonesia some time ago. Dharmasta reported that so far his team had found fraud at a university in Bengkulu.

Penmaru – the designation for new student admissions at UPNVJ – has three pathways; 1) Achievement-Based National Selection (SNBP), 2) Test-Based National Selection (SNBT), and Independent Selection (SEMA). Two routes have been completed, namely SNBP and SNBT.

All seats on the SNBP route have been filled according to the quota provided, while SNBT participants are waiting for the announcement on June 20. On the other hand, the UPNVJ SEMA has entered the registration period and the Penmaru team is still preparing other things regarding the implementation of this SEMA.

This year's National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) underwent several changes according to those set by BPPP (formerly LTMPT). One of the policies emphasized is the implementation of a single SPI in accordance with the direction of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Research and Technology.

UPNVJ Chancellor, Anter Venus SPI when opening the meeting conveyed this change on the basis of the KPK Circular Letter. "SPI cannot be used for other purposes let alone until it is used as a revenue value variable. This is also in line with KPK Circular Number 9 of 2023.” Venus said.

The changes have created different dynamics in the field, as stated by Dudy Heryadi, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Dudy admitted that UPNVJ was very welcome to the arrival of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Education and Culture because UPNVJ needed to conduct consultations. “Many things have changed this year, giving rise to different dynamics in the field. We need a lot of consultation regarding this renewal.” Dudy said while welcoming the Monitoring Team for New Student Admissions.

Located in the Nusantara Meeting Room 2, the UPNVJ New Student Admissions Coordinator, Fajar Nugroho, then reported to the Monitoring team regarding the implementation of Penmaru both those that have been taking place and those that are currently taking place.
