Public RelationsUPNVJ - Two graduates of the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta won the Karya Mahardika Award at the 71st UPNVJ Graduation Ceremony at the Jakarta Convention Center on Tuesday, September 26 2023. They are Bayu Saputra, a graduate from the Nutrition Science Department, Faculty of Health Sciences, and Alifia Farah Shafira from the Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics and Business.
The Mahardika Work Award was given directly by UPNVJ Chancellor Dr Anter Venus to the two students.
"Finally, after many trips and taking part in competitions and activities, Alhamdulillah, today I was appointed as the Mahardika recipient," said Bayu.
"There are still many other goals in the future, and this award is a responsibility to prove that Mahardika UPNVJ recipients can compete at the global level," he continued.
Bayu called on students to make the best use of their time in studying and also achieve achievements in various competitions and activities. He also encouraged all UPNVJ students and academics to contribute in their respective fields in an effort to achieve Golden Indonesia 2045.
Alifia also expressed deep appreciation to UPNVJ after receiving the Mahardika Work Award. He admitted that he was happy and did not expect to be one of the award recipients this year.
According to Alifia, UPNVJ continues to prove itself as a progressive university whose quality continues to improve from year to year. "UPNVJ is getting better and better every year. The facilities are also getting more complete," said Alifia.
To the students, especially from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Alifia advised them to achieve even more achievements than they have currently achieved.
"Maybe there are those who feel, 'Can you get an achievement or not,' and it turns out that after implementing it, it turns out it's possible," said Alifia.
The Karya Mahardika Award is a form of appreciation from UPN "Veteran" Jakarta which is given to Graduates of the Undergraduate Program and Diploma Program who have achievements in academic and non-academic fields.
Mahardika Work Awards are given in the form of certificates and prizes.
The assessment criteria for the Mahardika Work Award include GPA, International Certification or Recognition, Student Competitions, and Student Organizations.
