Public RelationsUPNVJ - Chancellor of the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm emphasized the importance of consistency in university governance, including the main duties and functions (tupoksi) in the faculty leadership ranks.
Speaking at the closing of the UPNVJ Faculty Leadership Workshop on Saturday, 14 October 2023, Venus said that human resources are an important factor in encouraging UPNVJ to develop to the next level.
He wants HR at UPNVJ, in this case the faculty leaders, to fully understand the governance and duties of each regarding the applicable rules and regulations.
"We believe we can excel. We also want to make sure we can do anything, and we have the capacity for that," stressed Venus.
"At first we thought it was impossible to excel, but it turns out we excelled. We felt it was impossible regarding international accreditation, but it turns out we can do it even though there are several records," he continued.
Apart from understanding their main duties and functions according to the rules and regulations, UPNVJ faculty leaders are also encouraged to follow existing trends. For example, if the government calls for Independent Campus Learning (MBKM), then the leaders must be serious about working on the program.
"Our future efforts, regarding action plans and decision making, must be determined, and everything must be consistent," said Venus.
Regarding this workshop, the Chancellor of UPNVJ appreciated all levels of the event committee, including the Chief Executive, Prof. Dr. A. Heri Iswanto, SKM, MARS. He said that Prof Heri had designed an interactive game aimed at deepening the understanding of main duties and functions among UPNVJ faculty leaders.
The two main points in the interactive game in this workshop are around a growth mindset and a concrete action plan that can be implemented within a logical framework.
"These tasks are designed as a basis for all of our work to be more firm. There are documents, case studies, future targets, and all of this requires a concrete action plan," said Venus.
"This (leadership workshop) is a new tradition, and hopefully it can be useful for all of us," he concluded.
