In this case, Prof. Dr. med. Dr. Frans Santosa Internist, Cardiologist and Angiologist, one of the speakers in his opening said that this webinar is expected to provide new knowledge and a shared understanding of Ischemic Vascular Disease, where the discussion is open to all participants.

"The implementation of this agenda is due to the collaboration between FK UPNVJ and the central Medical Ethics Council of the Indonesian Doctors Association (MKEK IDI), with the hope that the book can provide the best service and colleagues throughout the country," said Prof. Frans in his opening.

This is in line with UPNVJ Chancellor Dr. Drs. Anter Venus, in this case, feels lucky that UPNVJ can hold a webinar that discusses one of the most important aspects of health, namely blood vessels.

“Even though today's webinar focuses on Ischemic Vascular Disease, I believe we can all learn a lot to take part in efforts to control or even reduce the number of deaths due to heart problems. And in uncovering Ischemic Vascular Disease, exploring the important role of early clinical diagnosis and therapy is very important,” said Venus.

“We are very happy to be able to hold this event for the second time. Last year's event was a great success as hundreds of participants attended each session. "To become a world-class research university, UPNVJ will wholeheartedly support every academic and scientific activity that promotes ideas, exchanges experiences and expertise, and shares research findings," he added.

Please note in advance, a study published in the National Library of Medicine in 2020 estimates that globally, ischemic heart disease (IHD) attacks around 126 million people (1,655 per 100,000), which is around 1.72% of the world's population.

Nine million deaths are caused by IHD globally. The global prevalence of IHD is increasing and is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide. This is also the background for this discussion.
