Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) carries out the Monthly Flag ceremony which is held every 17th and acts as Ceremony Inspector, namely the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Henry BH Sitorus, ST, MT which was held at the Wahidin Sudirohusodo field, Monday (19/2/2024).
On this occasion the Inspector of Ceremonies read out the message from the Chancellor of UPNVJ, saying that the Seventeen Flag Ceremony which was held had a very important meaning for all of us, as an effort to further strengthen the quality of service to the nation and state and as a means of strengthening nationalism.
"The implementation of routine ceremonies every 17th is not just a routine in our calendar of activities, but should be able to strengthen our sense of nationalism, strengthen our commitment to implementing the values of defending the country. In particular, the value of national and state awareness, belief in the Pancasila ideology and the value of being willing to sacrifice for the nation. "which is then implemented in the performance of tasks according to each field with the guideline that today must be better than yesterday," said Dr. Henry
Furthermore, Dr. Henry BH Sitorus outlined several proud achievements ranging from student, lecturer and institutional achievements.
“After getting International Accreditation for 10 Study Programs. At the end of last January, the UPNVJ Mechanical Engineering Study Program succeeded in achieving Superior accreditation from the Independent Engineering Accreditation Institute of the Indonesian Engineers Association (LAM Teknik PII). Then UPNVJ has played a direct role in observing and following the implementation of the 2024 General Election as part of its active participation in defending the country. "The involvement of UPNVJ lecturers in these activities is in the form of resource persons in the Presidential Candidate Debate, resource persons in the mass media, and as observers of the implementation of the General Election through the 2024 IEVP Program ," he said.
In his message, the Chancellor also informed that the UPNVJ Business Hub, an integrated business unit that supports MSMEs from lecturers, students and Depok residents, has been officially announced. UPNVJ Business Hub provides various facilities such as café, co-working space, LPPM Press, KI Center, CLOUD Kitchen, meeting room, and medical clinic as a health service center for residents of UPNVJ and surrounding areas. Apart from that, UPNVJ has carried out cross-border collaboration with the University of Queensland, Australia and the Australian National University to expand research networks and scientific publications, exchange academic experiences and lecturer resources. And finally, UPNVJ has inaugurated the UPNVJ Parking Area (APU) as a parking area specifically for the UPNVJ academic community, with a total capacity of approximately 450 motorbikes.
At the end of his speech, Dr. Henry BH Sitorus emphasized that it is hoped that achievements will continue to be created throughout 2024 with a wider, higher, more numerous and more varied level, number, scope and variety of competitions and competitions. (Hum/Ark)
