Collaborating with GHF and Southern Leyte University, UPNVJ Holds Grant Writing Webinar

 

Public RelationsUPNVJ - The Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta together with GHF University Excellence and Southern Leyte State University held a webinar entitled "Global Grant Writing Forum: Insight From International Expert" on Monday, March 25 2024.

Taking place from 13.30 WIB via video conference, this webinar aims to provide faculty members, staff and students with valuable insight into the ins and outs of grant writing, especially to obtain funding from leading international institutions.

By utilizing the expertise of international experts, participants receive comprehensive guidance and a number of important suggestions for the successful formulation and submission of research proposals.

In this event, Chairman of LPPM UPNVJ Dr. Sri Lestari Wahyuningroem representing the Australian Research Council (ARC) also served as a resource person by presenting material related to the Australian Research Council's Discovery Project. In his presentation, Dr. Sri discussed ongoing projects at ARC.

Dr Sri also shared tips on getting grant funding. "Know the strengths and contributions of the proposal. We also have to find schemes that have been carried out by other researchers regarding the chosen topic. Follow the instructions and pay full attention to the research problem," he said.

"Apart from that, you also have to think openly, be creative and innovative," continued Dr Sri.

Apart from Dr. Sri, also present was the Managing Director of Global Health Focus (GHF) University Excellence, Dr. Don Eliseo Lucero Prisno; RSMTH Early Career Grant, dr. Adriana Viola Miranda; and Tobacco Harm Reduction Grant, Dr. Adebisi Yusuff Adebayo.

Through this webinar, it is hoped that participants will gain insight into international grant funding as explained by the speakers.
