Public RelationsUPNVJ - Chancellor of the Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University (UPNVJ) Dr. Anter Venus, received an award for the second best achievement in the IKU (Main Performance Indicators) league for State Universities with Public Service Entities (PTN-BLU) from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology.

The award reception took place at the Grand Ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel Pondok Indah, Jakarta on Thursday, July 18 2024.

State Higher Education IKU (PTN) is the PTN's performance which will determine resource and budget support which will be facilitated by the Directorate General of Higher Education and Technology.

The components in the IKU are the main performance measurement instruments for adaptive PTNs based on concrete outcomes.

Venus expressed her pride and expressed her gratitude to the entire UPNVJ family who had fought hard and worked together well so that UPNVJ could get the second best award in the IKU PTN BLU League.

"In my opinion, this is an extraordinary achievement for us as a new PTN. This proves that we can achieve something if we set targets and are committed to working together," said Venus.

This also proves that all fields, especially those related to IKU, both academic and student affairs, the Institution as well as the Deanery are really doing things for the progress of UPNVJ, in accordance with our vision to transform to achieve excellence, so whatever we strive to achieve excellence and that can be created with work the same is good," he continued.

Venus also said that the Ministry of Education and Culture really appreciates that UPNVJ with its new BLU status can rise to second place. According to the Ministry of Education and Culture, this was a surprise for them, because even though UPNVJ is considered a PTN with a new status, it can precede the old PTNs.

"This also includes proof that when we want to work together we can achieve things that may exceed our targets and beyond our expectations," he added.

"Honestly, when the status changed from PTN work unit to PTN BLU, we had concerns about the performance ranking, we only thought about how we are not at the bottom of the ranking, but unexpectedly we are currently ranked the second best IKU out of dozens of PTNs," said Venus .

Venus also said that after this award was given, there were already five universities that wanted to conduct a comparative study on how to manage the UPNVJ IKU. He hopes that with this, UPNVJ can provide benefits and gain other learning to visiting universities.

"There will be five PTNs who will visit, hopefully we will be useful and we can learn from each other to be better," he said.

By announcing and giving this award does not necessarily make UPNVJ complacent. Venus emphasized that even though it is not easy, UPNVJ can maintain its achievements or achieve even better ones.

"I see that it will not be easy either now or in the future because seeing last night's announcement made other PTN friends aware to move more rapidly. We can be proud and complacent, but we must be alert to all possibilities that may occur, the way to do this is by maintaining existing cooperation, "strengthen our fighting spirit and re-set targets for indicators that have not been met," concluded Venus.
