Four Outstanding UPNVJ Students Share Inspirational Stories at PKKMB 2024

HumasUPNVJ - Four outstanding students (mapres) from the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta shared their respective achievements at the New Student Campus Life Introduction Program (PKKMB) at Tennis Indoor Senayan Jakarta, Monday, August 12, 2024.

They are Jannatul Jasmine, a student of Islamic Economics; Muhammad Israfil, a D3 Nursing student; Aurellia Astadewi, a student of Industrial Engineering; and Yasmin Salsabila, a student of Management.

Jannatul shared her experience of becoming a Mapres, one of the programs of the Ministry of Education and Culture that selects outstanding students throughout Indonesia.

The selection of the Mapres program starts from the faculty, then to the university, and finally to the national level. Jannatul has gone through all of those processes with struggle and hard work.

“Make the most of your time. Try many things, explore many new fields,” Jannatul said.

According to him, to be able to become a student president, a student does not need to be the smartest or the greatest person in his field. A student can be selected as a student president through perseverance.

“Be a person who perseveres in trying and is consistent.

In line with Jannatul, Aurellia also emphasized the importance of consistency in her work. As a YouTuber since 2017, she has tried to pioneer her career and consistently make videos within a certain time frame.

For Aurellia, being an influencer on YouTube can improve her social skills because she is used to speaking in front of the camera and interacting with friends on social media.

"We must be confident in our goals and always try," he said,

Self-confidence and motivation were also mentioned by Muhammad Israfil in his efforts to become a presidential candidate. He emphasized the importance of having strong motivation to achieve in a particular field.

"The best achievement is to rise from a fall," he said.

Yasmin also showed the spirit to try without fear of failure. According to her, a person must have the courage to try something.

"Never be afraid to try, because one execution is better than 1000 theories," said Yasmin, who has been a pioneer as a fashion entrepreneur since the age of 15.
