HumasUPNVJ - The delegation of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has completed a working visit to Australia which took place on 20-25 October 2024. This visit aims to expand international networks, open up academic job opportunities, and support the internationalization of education at UPNVJ.
The delegation led by UPNVJ Chancellor Anter Venus interacted with a number of leading universities in Australia, namely Macquarie University, University of Canberra, Australian National University, Deakin University, Monash University, and Swinburne University of Technology.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Sydney to discuss potential cooperation in the field of education, especially supporting the needs of health workers in Australia. At Macquarie University, UPNVJ discussed student exchange programs, visiting professors, and access for UPNVJ academics through the Visiting International Scholars Awards (VISA) program.
In addition, a courtesy call was also held at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Melbourne. The Indonesian Consulate General in Melbourne expressed its support for the implementation of cooperation between UPNVJ and various universities in Australia, and suggested collaboration with the Australia Indonesia Center (AIC) to expand connections in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.
This visit opens up important opportunities for UPNVJ to develop cross-institutional collaborations that benefit students and academic staff.
The next step is to formulate a collaborative plan that has been agreed upon with universities in Australia, as part of UPNVJ's commitment to improving the quality of education and expanding its international network.
