Jakarta Taekwondo Veterans Achieve Again, Winning 13 Medals Including 8 Golds

HumasUPNVJ - Proud news again came from the Student Activity Unit (UKM) Taekwondo Veteran Jakarta (Taveja). In the national event of the KBPP POLRI JATIM CUP 2 Taekwondo Championship, Taekwondo Veteran Jakarta managed to win 13 medals.

Jakarta Veteran Taekwondo Chair Nadhifa Tsalis said that 12 Taveja athletes managed to bring home 8 gold medals and 5 silver medals.

The 2nd KBPP Polri Jatim Cup Taekwondo Championship Between Clubs in 2024 took place from November 9, 2024 at the ITS Futsal GOR Surabaya, East Java (Jatim) and closed on Sunday, November 10, 2024.

The 2nd East Java Police KBPP Taekwondo Championship Cup in 2024 was attended by seven provinces with a total of 1,534 participants.

"The KBPP POLRI Jatim Cup 2 Championship yesterday was a sweet closing moment for my management this year," said Nadhifa.

"I am very proud of the achievements of the Taveja athletes, who were able to show extraordinary competitiveness against athletes from 7 other provinces," he continued.

The achievement of 13 medals is in accordance with Taveja's target from a total of 15 athletes who were sent. Nadhifa said this achievement was inseparable from the hard work, consistency, and extraordinary synergy of all parties, from athletes, coaches, to team managers who were always ready to meet the team's needs.

"Full support from the campus is also a strong foundation that led us to this success," said Nadhifa.

He hopes that Taveja's friends in the next period can continue the struggle, and even exceed previous achievements.

"As the head of UKM, I have high hopes for the next period. Our target is to bring the team to compete in a bigger event with a more solid composition and more mature preparation. I believe, with the same spirit, we are able to achieve even higher achievements," concluded Nadhifa.
