Public Relations of UPNVJ - The 5th Congress of the Alumni Association of the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (IKA UPNVJ) was officially held at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium UPNVJ on Saturday, December 14, 2024. This activity is one of the important agendas held every four years, with the aim of strengthening ties between alumni and strengthening the role of IKA UPNVJ in supporting campus development and the quality of graduates.
This event was attended by dozens of alumni from various classes, as well as representatives of the UPNVJ academic community and other invited guests. On that occasion, various important agendas were discussed, starting from the evaluation of the last four years' work program to planning for future organizational development.
In his remarks, the Chairperson of the 5th UPNVJ Alumni Association Congress Committee, Danu Wintoro, conveyed the importance of strengthening ties between alumni and the campus.
"This congress is an important moment for all of us to gather, discuss, and plan strategic steps that will bring our alma mater to a better future," he said. Danu also appreciated the role of all alumni in supporting various social activities and academic development of UPNVJ.
Valuable Assets for Mutual Progress
Also attending the congress, UPNVJ Chancellor Anter Venus emphasized the importance of the role of alumni in supporting the educational process on campus.
"Alumni are valuable assets for the university. We hope that with this congress, the relationship between UPNVJ and alumni will be stronger, and they can support each other in realizing the university's vision and mission," said Venus.
During the congress, various panel discussions and experience sharing sessions were also held by presenting alumni from various sectors, including business, government, education, and social. These discussions aimed to explore potential and collaboration opportunities that alumni can optimize for mutual progress, both for the campus and the wider community.
Through this congress, it is hoped that IKA UPNVJ can continue to be a useful forum for alumni to contribute more to advancing the nation.
Alumni are also expected to strengthen their networks and be more involved in activities that focus on developing the quality of education, as well as contributing in various fields according to their respective expertise.
The 5th Congress of IKA Alumni UPNVJ will run until December 15, 2024, and will end with a networking session and the election of the General Chairperson of IKA UPNVJ for the 2024-2029 period.
