HumasUPNVJ - Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) is again holding Sustainable Village 2024 in Kampung Cijantur, Rabak Village, Bogor Regency, West Java, on November 14, 2024. This program, which has been running for the third year, carries the theme "KOMPAK: Maximum Collaboration for Sustainable Development and Action" . Seven UPNVJ faculties collaborate in this program to address the challenges of Kampung Cijantur while optimizing local potential through an innovative and integrated approach.
One of the main focuses of this program is the sustainability of education, with strategic support from Camy.id , a digital education platform . In addition to providing facilities, Camy.id holds seminars and training to empower the community. This program also covers five main pillars, namely economy, technology, health, education, and community advocacy. For example, the development of local coffee into the "Aroma Cijantur" brand , installation of solar-powered street lights, free health checks, access to continuing education, and advocacy forums that voice the needs of the community.
Collaboration across UPNVJ faculties has resulted in concrete solutions that strengthen relationships between faculties while providing positive impacts for the village. In addition, support from various parties such as the UPNVJ Alumni Association, local government, and Bank Indonesia , as well as contributions from large companies such as Kitabisa.com, Mayora, Solariz, and Iceler , have expanded the reach of the program's benefits. The Cijantur community has welcomed the program, hoping for real improvements in their lives.
Sustainable Village 2024 does not only focus on physical development, but also on community empowerment and strengthening the village system. This program has succeeded in instilling the foundation of sustainable change, making Kampung Cijantur a model of an innovative village with a bright future. This program is real evidence of UPNVJ's commitment to providing meaningful contributions to society.
