UPNVJ Leadership Holds FGD on the Importance of Internationalization of Higher Education

HumasUPNVJ - The leadership of UPNVJ (National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Internationalization of Higher Education to discuss various aspects related to efforts to improve international cooperation in the field of higher education. In addition, to deepen understanding of the challenges and opportunities for internationalization in higher education, as well as explore ideas and strategies to strengthen the role of universities at the global level.

UPNVJ invited Prof. Dr. Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih, Vice Rector for Research, Innovation, and Community Development of Airlangga University. The FGD was attended by UPNVJ leaders, namely the Rector, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Deans and special staff of the UPNVJ Rector, located at the Oakwood Hotel Surabaya, last December 17.

"The Tri Dharma of Higher Education has a great influence on Education, Research, and Community Service. One example of the influence of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education on Higher Education is Outcome Based Education (OBE)," explained Prof. Ni Nyoman Tri Puspaningsih.

Topics discussed include the following:

1. Higher Education Internationalization Strategy : An approach to building international partnerships, whether in the form of student exchange programs, joint research, or international curricula.

2. Strengthening International Networks : Increasing cooperation with foreign universities and international educational organizations to support student and lecturer mobility.

3. Impact of Internationalization : How does internationalization affect the quality of education, human resource development, and the resulting social and economic impacts.

4. Utilization of Technology for Internationalization : Digitalization of education and use of online platforms to expand access to quality education globally.

5. Government Policy and Support for Internationalization : The role of government in supporting the internationalization process, both in terms of regulation, funding, and educational diplomacy.

Through this FGD, Anter Venus as Chancellor hopes that UPNVJ can strengthen its position in the international arena and prepare students and teachers to be more competitive in the global arena.
