The event initiated by the Faculty of Computer Science was attended by several high-ranking officials and practitioners in their fields. Former Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Prof. Indroyono Soesilo, MSc., PhD., IPU, also attended this important discussion with the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Prof. Anter Venus and the team from FIK UPNVJ.

"The importance of digital transformation in UPNVJ convinces us to commit to supporting the development of digital repositories to achieve scientific progress in the maritime and defense fields," said Venus in her speech.

One aspect of the discussion discussed was that the Open Knowledge Repository (OKR) aims to provide broad and open access to journals, theses, dissertations, and other sources of knowledge. In addition, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the OKR system can increase the efficiency of data search and analysis.

The development of NM-OKR will be supported by various parties, including academics, the military, and industry. Therefore, regulations related to security and copyright in the OKR system are needed to remain in accordance with applicable provisions.

Closing the event, the Chancellor of UPNVJ stated his commitment to making NM-OKR one of UPNVJ's leading programs.
