Menristekdikti Appoints Ten PTN Leaders and Two Heads of LLDIKTI

Minister of Research Technology and Higher Education (Menristekdikti) Mohamad Nasir today inaugurated and took the oath of office to the Ten PTN Leaders and Two Heads of LLDIKTI. The inauguration ceremony was held solemnly at the Auditorium of Building D Kemenristekdikti, Senayan (26/10).

Leaders of State Universities and Heads of Higher Education Service institutions appointed, namely:

1. Ir. Ridwan Baharta, M.Sc as Director of Subang State Polytechnic for the 2018-2022 period

2.Dr. Ir. Rachmad Imbang Trijahyono, MT as Director of the Bandung State Polytechnic for the 2018-2022 period

3.Dr. Ir. Aris Tjahyanto, M.Kom as Director of the Cilacap State Polytechnic for the 2018-2022 period

4. Ir.Muhammad Anshar, M.Si, Ph.D as Director of Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic for the 2018-2022 period

5. Prof. Dr. H.Masjaya , M.Si as Chancellor of Mulawarman University for the 2018-2022 period

6. Dr. Ir Suprapto, DEA as Head of Higher Education Service Institute Region VII East Java for the 2018-2022 period

7. Dr.Ir Udiansyah, Ms as the Head of the Higher Education Service Institute for Region XI Kalimantan for the 2018-2022 period

8.Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak, CPMA, CA as Chancellor of the Jakarta Veterans National Development University for the 2018-2022 period

9.Dr. Mohammad Irhas Effendi, M.Sc as Chancellor of the Yogyakarta Veterans National Development University for the 2018-2022 period

10.Prof. Dr. Ir Akhmad Fauzi, M.MT as Chancellor of the East Java Veterans National Development University for the 2018-2022 period

11. Prof.Dr. Fathur Rokhman, M.Hum as Chancellor of Semarang State University for the 2018-2022 period

12. Dr. AH Rofiuddin, M.Pd as Chancellor of the University of Malang for the 2018-2022 period

In his remarks, Minister Nasir reminded newly appointed officials to convey that higher education is the backbone for change and progress of the nation. Therefore, universities must always innovate to increase the nation's competitiveness.

"A country will lose in global competition if it does not innovate. Innovation is very important, the creativity of higher education leaders and heads of higher education service institutions must be increased," said Menristekdikti.

On this occasion the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education again emphasized the importance of a culture of research and innovation among higher education academics. Minister Nasir asked lecturers to carry out the tri dharma of higher education perfectly.

"Lecturers should not only focus on teaching so they forget the other tri dharma. Lecturers must conduct research and create innovations," said the Menristekdikti.

Facing the Industrial Revolution 4.0, Minister Nasir encouraged higher education leaders, especially polytechnics, to innovate in the field of study programs. The Polytechnic, which is a vocational education, is expected to be a source of contemporary study programs that equip graduates with the competencies and skills needed by the world of work in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 Era.

Also present at the event were Minister of Research and Technology of the United Indonesia Cabinet II Gusti Muhammad Hatta (2011-2014), Member of the Indonesian Parliament Commission X, Director General of Science and Technology Institutions Patdono Suwignjo, Director General of Science and Technology Resources and Higher Education Ali Ghufron Mukti, Director General of Strengthening Research and Development Muhammad Dimyati, Director General for Strengthening Innovation Jumain Appe, Inspector General Jamal Wiwoho, Echelon II Officials within the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, as well as other invited guests.
