Chancellor Appoints Management of Ormawa and UKM

HumasUPNVJ - Chancellor of the Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) Dr. Erna Hernawati, Ak.CPMA.CA.CGOP appointed members of the Student Consultative Council (MPM), Student Executive Board (BEM), and 27 student activity units (UKM) within UPNVJ.

"Congratulations to all the chairmen of student organizations and their staff who have been entrusted with running the organization. I believe you will be trustworthy," the Chancellor said in his remarks while inaugurating the management of two student organizations (ormawa) and 27 UKM in the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, UPNVJ Pondok Campus Pumpkin, Jakarta, Friday (21/1/2022).

The Chancellor asked the ormawa and UKM management to understand the vision and mission of each organization. As part of UPNVJ, organizers of student organizations and UKM are also asked to understand the university's vision and mission. The vision and mission of ormawa and UKM must be in line with the vision and mission of UPNVJ, especially as a State Defense Campus.

According to the Chancellor, the title of State Defense Campus which is held by UPNVJ along with the other two UPNs is a characteristic and differentiator compared to other universities.

"The existence of ormawa and UKM aims to provide opportunities for students to learn to organize. Make good use of it, so that it can be an example for members and even all UPNVJ students," he said.

During the inauguration ceremony, the ormawa and UKM management also pronounced and signed an integrity pact consisting of four points. The pronouncement of the integrity pact was led by the Chairperson of MPM Bunga Deskomala followed by the heads of other student organizations and UKM.

Based on the integrity pact, ormawa and UKM at UPNVJ stated that they would comply with laws and regulations and religious, academic, ethical, moral, and nationalist insights, as well as have the identity of defending the country.

Ormawa and UKM also stated that they would carry out their duties and functions in accordance with the organizational regulations in force at UPNVJ and did not commit acts that were contrary to religious norms and the student code of ethics and were not involved in abuse of office.

Finally, ormawa and UKM stated that they would not carry out actions and activities that could harm and defame UPNVJ.

If it is violated, ormawa and UKM state that they are willing to accept academic sanctions in accordance with the regulations set by UPNVJ.
